And now Dean’s making nachos and Rose is crying that it’s not fair

Rose (age 7): “Mom, can we go to a restaurant for dinner? It’s been a LONG TIME since we had dinner at a restaurant.”

Me: “You mean two days?”

Dean: “It’s expensive to go to a restaurant. We should eat at home tonight.”

Rose: “Dad, me and Henry DECIDED. We’re going to a restaurant. You don’t get to choose.”

Dad: “YOU decided? But I’m the boss.”

Henry (age 4): “Jesus is the boss.”

Rose: “Heavenly Father is Jesus’ dad, so he’s the boss. You don’t get to decide. We’re going to a restaurant!”

Dean, to me: “Did you hear these mouthy kids?”

Me: “Yeah. They’re pretty mouthy, all right.”

  1. the MomB says:

Quite the team, R & H. I guess they’ve been talking to Jesus. And Heavenly Father.

  2. Jason says:
