Thoughts on fashion inspired by YouTube

She’s still sitting in the same pool hall, probably smoking the same cigarette. She sat there long enough that her look came back in style.  Especially the eyeshadow.

Also, yesterday’s cutting-edge fashion is today’s homeless look (not that there’s anything wrong with that).

      They’re still shots from screen grabs from the original video of “Beat it” on YouTube and I left a little from the YouTube screen in the image to show that’s where they came from, but they don’t link to anything. If you can see any images, it’s working, if not then it’s not working. I wasn’t maliciously intending to confuse anyone but I’m sorry if I did.

    The homeless are so hip these days.

    There are SCADS of iconic American images, gestures, etc., in the video (no tight white T-shirts with rolled up sleeves, tho’), and yet it can be dated pretty precisely by the “fashion”. It’s fascinating.
