A simple explanation of the grading system, Rosie-style

Rose: “Mom, what does this say?”

Me: “Aberog.”

Rose: “That’s right! That means you get an A+! A+ means you did a good job. And B+ means you made a lot of mistakes. And C+ means you made some mistakes. And D+ means you just made a little bit of mistakes. It’s like the alphabet song, A, B, C, D . . .”

She clearly needs to be a professor. I wonder how she feels about the whole grading on a curve thing.

  2. Annette says:

    That sounds about right . . .

  3. Acheté says:

If you got a B+ from me last semester, it means you made a lot of mistakes.

I remember Dr. Scoresby in Child Development saying that if you want your children to do well at something, give them the vocabulary for it. I’ve no doubt Rosie will do well in school. (And Mabel is already an excellent kindergarten teacher.)

  4. What a smart little girl!!! And I am glad you got an A!!!

  5. Hey, thank you for coming by my blog and reading my travel story. That guy next you would have been horrible too. I can’t believe stuck it out being pregnant. Your right Hubby should have taken a turn. I would have hurled. 🙂
You have a beautiful family. The children are precious.
    Come by anytime.
