A pretty little lert

Dean’s said this of all our babies — when they’re alert, he says they’re a lert.  Mabel’s added to this that Hazel is also a little dorable.

Last night Hazel nursed at 10 PM, 1 AM, 5 AM, and 9 AM, and slept tranquilly in-between.  That’s a nursing schedule I could get behind; we’ll see if we can get it to stick. I used a swaddling device my sister loaned me to wrap her up at night and I’m not sure if that made the difference, but Hazel did seem to like it.

In less savory news, this morning Henry tried to drink from my peri bottle. I hope he lives.

    Very pretty little lert.
But the Henry story made me GOL (gag out loud)

  5. Wow, Zina you look great! You don’t have the haggard sleep-deprived look of someone with a newborn. You must do sleep deprivation very well. That would be a great profile pic for Facebook.

  6. What beautiful pictures and such a beautiful baby. I especially love the pic of Mabel and the baby. So sweet.

Oh, my gosh. That’s a STINKIN’ CUTE BABY!

You, the fam, and the beau baby = awesomeness.

Ask me why I still had the peri bottle out when Maddy started walking. (well, it wasn’t really OUT, just in a cupboard in the bathroom she could reach) Ask me if I threw up when she grabbed it and tried to drink from it.

Cute pictures! Love those big blue eyes on all your babies!

I like the pictures a-lot. I agree with Pmom, you look great in this picture as you have everytime I’ve been over!

LOVE the pictures. And the smocking…you’re making me wish I had a girl! And congratulations on the nursing schedule. I’m currently in the it-takes-two-hours-to-get-in-a-successful-15-minute-feeding. Oh so frustrating. Hopefully once my milk comes in everything will go much, much quicker.

Well last night it took me four hours to get her to go to sleep in her cradle, so I guess if it’s not one thing it’s another. She doesn’t like her quiet boring bed for sleeping, but I think she gets overstimulated and exhausted when she gets her way and sleeps in our arms.

Oh, and thanks! And congratulations on Saul’s birth!
Hazel was supposedly 21″ at her checkup just now and since she was supposedly 18″ at birth I think it’s safe to say she was somewhere between the two, so she and Saul are statistics twins I think.

    Hazel is just perfect!
