If you’re wondering what I meant by “independent-spirited”
I just let Rose have the last PushPop, warning her first not to let Henry see it because he’d be jealous. Seconds later she ran into the living room (where Henry was watching Isaac and his friends play Wii) and shouted, “Guys, this is the LAST PushPop.” Grrr. (I should take it away from her. But I’ll probably just make her share it with Henry.)

Here’s a conversation from earlier today:
Me: “Oh, wow, someone made a real mess with the butter in the butter dish.”
Rose: “It was me — ‘Little Rosie!’”
(That was cute enough for me to forget about the butter mess, at least until I found a heavily-buttered slice of bread put back in the fridge next to the bread bag.)
