If you are eight, and you are eating an apple,

and you see a pink spot in your apple,

and you feel something hard like a seed in your mouth,

it’s probably your loose tooth that just came out.

(I’ve always heard the apple theory of loose-tooth removal, but this is the first time I’ve witnessed it — and she wasn’t even trying to test the theory.)

(P.S. If you’re a grownup,

and you’re squeamish about loose teeth or blood in apples,

and you were just eating breakfast,

I hope you’ll accept my apologies.)

Uh, let’s see, not a grownup, not really, nope; not squeamish about loose teeth or a little blood in an apple; not eating breakfast–so we’re OK. Also, all the pictures are great, and that 2nd one is aMAZing.

    Congratulations, Mabel!

Wow, I have heard about that too, but never seen it working in action!!! A good reminder for when teeth are loose!

Losing your teeth is kind of like being pregnant, don’t you think? You know it’s going to happen soon just not exactly when or how or if it’s going to hurt. Sorry for the rambling. I like the apple idea, I’ll tuck that one away for when Siena starts that exciting part of childhood. By the way, Mabel is a really beautiful girl!

Yeah! I guess that is the easy way to pull teeth out! Better than putting a string around and pulling it yout!
