A productive day in my real world
It’s been a loooong day, but a good one — Dean installed Ikea cabinets above our washer and dryer, and put together a table that I’m now using as a computer desk — now I can finally get rid of the heavy, ugly beast of a desk we got from university surplus in Berkeley about 8 years ago. (Anybody want a heavy, ugly beast of a desk?) (Actually, I’ll be putting it on freecycle — and will find different adjectives to describe it.) To make way for the new table, I attacked the massive pile of papers on my desk and filled a file box with papers to recycle.
Looking at my house as a whole, we’re still buried alive in piles of stuff and swamped with projects that need doing, but a good day like today gives me hope that someday we might dig ourselves out.
