And now I’m blogging as procrastination

There is SO much I need to get done around here (I mean in my real world, not this fun imaginary one) that I’m having a really hard time choosing which things to work on. Sigh, poor me. Well, I promised Mabel I’d take her to the pet store (Bob the Betta’s bowl has a crack in it and it’s sloooowly losing water*) so I guess that’ll be the next thing on the agenda. (I’m tempted to list all the other things that I also ought to be working on, but I’ll resist boring you since I know your brains are already crowded with your own intimidating lists. And if they’re not, I don’t want to hear about it — but, lucky you.)

*Mabel wanted me to add the words “at an alarming rate.” I don’t call an inch a week alarming, but . . . yeah. Off we go to the pet store.

I loved Mabel’s email about the adventure of finding a new home for Bob.

Bob’s adventures continue and deserve their own post (for which I would use Mabel’s email, plus the latest adventures,) but it’s such a saga so far that I’m weary to post it. Short version: We think he’s sick. Just now I found he had burrowed himself *under* the base of a small plastic plant that he uprooted (and I didn’t even tell Mabel that part, since she’s already very worried about him.)
