Slogging along, but with seasonal cheer

I haven’t had much of a mind to post since we’re still slogging along, health-wise (Rose had a recurrence of fever and tummy ache that lasted a couple days but seems mostly gone; Dean had a recurrence of gastrointestinal stuff that is still keeping him lying low; my sore throat is 95% better but my stomach is still queasy; Henry continues to be not-quite-his-most-cheerful-self.) I do keep thinking of things I mean to post here, but the memory leaves me by the time I get to the computer. I feel a little bad when I see that a few people have still been checking in — I don’t want to lose you! I promise to post more, (maybe even with some pretty Christmas pictures or more of my sophisticated humor,) if and when my family ever has a return to health.

On the bright side, I have loved all the family time, hearing from old friends, and the many reminders of our Savior’s love that have come with the season, so it’s really been a wonderful Christmas, even if it included lots of reminders of the mortal condition. In fact, the sickness made me all the more appreciative of God’s love and grace, and mindful of others dealing with various trials at this time of year, so you could even say the sickness itself made our Christmas more meaningful.*
